Revitalizing a Neighborhood Through Resilient Design

Weber Construction partnered with Gulf Coast Housing Partnership to deliver The Muses, a three-phase urban residential development in post-Katrina New Orleans. Built on 4.8 acres of vacant land, the project includes 263 apartments, 28 market-rate condos, and 4,000 square feet of commercial space.

As the first LEED-certified multi-family development in Louisiana, it set a new standard for sustainable, mixed-income housing. Despite early challenges, including the loss of investors and complex zoning hurdles, strong collaboration between public and private partners helped transform the area into a vibrant, inclusive community.
